The Don CeSar Beach Resort & Spa

The Don CeSar Beach Resort & Spa, named after a character in the Italian opera Maritana, has been a popular spot for celebrities and world travelers. Built in 1928, and referred by many as either "The Don" or "The Pink Palace" this luxury resort is revered for its unparalleled dining and fabulous Gulf-side accommodations.

Our day and evening at "The Don" will take advantage of one of the world's most celebrated beaches. During the day you can slip into a bathing suit and plunge into the clear blue Gulf or one of the two large pools, join in a game of volleyball or beach hockey, or spend the day wave running, aqua-biking, sailing, or para-sailing (there will be an additional fee for watersport activities). The evening which will include dinner, music, and good times with old and new friends. Buses will take you there right after the workshop ends with a sack lunch on the bus. We will be returning late to the hotel, so avoid early morning flights! The resort is about an hour drive from the USF campus.

Bring your bathing suit, sunscreen, and appetite. This is NOT included in the conference registration price, but is a MUST event. The cost is US$60 for conference registrants, non-registrants, and guests.
