    Beautifully situated in Research Park at the base of the mountains and connected to the medical campus by shuttle bus, bike or walking path. If you choose to stay elsewhere you will be responsible for your own transportation. Being together is an important part of the workshop and we hope you will make your reservations at one of the two conference lodgings. There are NO other hotels near the campus. You would need to rent a car or take taxis if you stay elsewhere. Salt Lake in not New York and cabs must be called in advance.

    Consider sharing a room as the price is $114 for one or $124 for two plus 11% tax. This includes an abundant full buffet breakfast. The Gold Standard Multimedia Hospitality Suite will be located on the fifth floor. We have reserved a limited block of rooms which will only be guaranteed until June 1. After that the price will about $140 without breakfast. Each room has either two doubles, a queen or a king. Small suites are $124 with breakfast additional. Please indicate, if you desire a non-smoking room. Parking is free. Walking and mass transit are encouraged. There is a trolley bus to downtown and free campus shuttle buses. We urge you to consider bringing your family. The zoo and pioneer village are adjacent to the campus and the arboretum is part of the University. The campus also has a Museum of Natural History, Fine Art Museum, student union, large unvierstiy book store with excellent computer equipment, software and books. Email Suzanne Stensaas if you are interested in sharing a room. Transportation from the airport to the hotel is provided free by the hotel (From the airport call the hotel van to come and get you. Sometimes the delay is considerable.). Or take a taxi (about $18.00). The hotel has a restaurant, bar, pool and exercise room. The area is ideal for jogging or biking. Many of the rooms have great views of the valley.

    This newly opened (11/99) 136 room facility is adjacent to the Health Sciences Center and about 2 blocks from the meeting site. It is more convenient, because it is on campus and its is less expensive. However, it has no restaurant or bar. A continental breakfast is included and food can be purchased at the hospital cafeteria about 3 blocks away. Rooms have coffee makers,small refrigerator, microwave, iron, and hair dryers. There is no pool. There is an exercise room. We have reserved a small block of rooms priced as follows:
      $75 for room with single king or double queen. A third person is $10 extra.
      $90 for a deluxe king with sitting room that sleeps only 2
      $121 for king suites that sleep 2. Tax is 10%. Parking is $3/ day.

    Campus shuttle bus runs over to research park and the Marriott hotel (about 3/4 mile) until 6 pm. Walking, Taxi or renting a bike for the week are the other alternatives. Transport from airport is taxi. There is city bus service to downtown from the front of the hospital about 4 blocks away. We have reserved fewer rooms at this location, so if you are interested, book early. Rooms held until June 1.
