  • Rate: $169 Canadian single or double Regular Room, breakfast not included. Room cost is approximately $106 USD + tax of about12%--part of which is refundable to non-Canadians after departure. Deluxe rooms, called Premiere, are 20% larger but cost more. Non-smoking and smoking rooms can be requested but should be done so at the time of booking.
  • When making reservations, please state that you are reserving for the Slice of Life Conference. The dates that we have a block of rooms set aside at the conference rate are June 15-22 inclusive. If you are booking rooms for dates before or after the conference, higher rates will apply. The block rate will expire after May 20, 2002. Book early, June is a busy month.
  • Phones have data ports. Local calls cost one dollar. All rooms have a fax machine, unstocked mini refrigerator, in-room coffee and tea.
  • Current is 110 V; iron and hair dryer in rooms.
  • 24-hour room service available.
  • The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the University General Medical Science Building. On-site parking is extra.
  • This is a first class hotel with pool, sauna, exercise room, whirlpool, lounge and deck on the top floor.  Two restaurants, a bar and a pub below. It is within easy walking distance of both the Queen's Park and the College Street subway stations, as well as the Royal Ontario Museum and Eaton Centre (one of the largest shopping malls in Canada).

  • Group Contract ID# 100591. A smaller number of rooms have been reserved at this location.
  • $115 Canadian single/double/triple/quadruple.  This is about $72 USD + tax.
  • Conveniently located on the edge of University Campus and near public transportation.  It is a 10 minute walk to the conference site and on public transportation lines for access to the rest of the city.
  • Coffee makers, hair dryers, irons, dataport jacks.
  • This hotel is clean and rooms are nicely kept. No pool.
  • Parking is $12 + tax per 24 hours with in and out all you want.  All rooms will be released May 16.

AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION:

Pearson International is the Toronto airport for almost all commercial flights.  A taxi from Pearson International costs about $40 Canadian dollars; the airport bus costs about $14 Canadian dollars.  Buttonville Airport is some distance away and is not recommended.
Toronto Island Airport is host to Air Ontario Regional and a variety of commercial operations serving the entire Eastern Seaboard.
