Each year a $1000 prize is awarded to a student (usually medical or graduate student) who has created an exceptional software application. The student can be from any country. In the past, awards have been given to students who utilized the "Slice of Life" videodisc in their software. This year, this is NOT a requirement.

Submissions can be web based (but not password protected) or on CD-ROM or disk(s). The URL, CD, or disk(s) must be submitted together with the completed application form (below) and a supporting letter from the faculty advisor involved with the project.
