7:00-9:00 p.m.

Garden closes 10:00 p.m.

Join us for the Conference Gala Dinner at the Portland Classical Chinese Garden just two stops from the hotel on the free MAX line. The Garden is also within walking distance of the hotel. Little changed from what might have greeted you during the Ming dynasty in China, Portland's Suzhou-style garden encloses a full city block. Nearly 100 specimen trees, water plants, bamboo, and orchids are nestled among Taihu rocks and waterfalls. Nine pavilions offer shelter to rest and contemplate or visit with colleagues while sharing a drink or sampling exciting food.

Feel free to wander through the beautiful gardens before dinner starting at 18:00 hours. The tea house will also be open for sampling teas. The event includes garden admission.

You must register for this catered dinner event by June 1, 2005 on our registration page in order for proper arrangements, including food and beverages, to be made (event capacity is limited to 200 participants by the fire department.) We welcome registered conference attendees ($10) and their guests ($45). A limited number of guests can be accommodated and their tickets must be purchased at the time of registration. If you require a vegetarian meal please be sure to check that on your registration form.
