The University of Utah’s Eccles Health Sciences Library is hosting events during Earth Week Activities.
During Earth Week, April 17 – 22, we invite you to participate in events to celebrate initiatives to integrate social equity, economic prosperity, and ecological integrity.
On Monday, April 17th, the Eccles Health Sciences Library is hosting a Seed Library Planting Party at the Union Plaza. The event starts at noon. You can also come into the library at any time to check out seeds at our seed library with an accompanying book display on topics related to health, sustainability, and growing food. The Sustainability in Medicine Interest Group will be displaying an interactive Earth Day exhibit highlighting the impacts of climate change on health and they are offering free seedlings to visitors.
On Thursday, April 20th, the Salt Lake County Health Department is hosting a Climate and Health Symposium that will bring together a diverse group of public health practitioners, stakeholders, climate experts, and leaders in the community. The event is happening in-person and virtually.
