Catherine’s Corner – A Note from Our Director, December 2023

As we find ourselves immersed in the enchanting spirit of the winter holidays, I am filled with gratitude and warmth. I extend my deepest thanks to you, our cherished patrons of the Eccles Health Sciences Library, for both your presence and support throughout this year.

This season provides a wonderful opportunity for reflection and appreciation. It is with immense gratitude that I acknowledge the dedicated efforts of our outstanding staff and faculty and the boundless energy and curiosity of our students. I am eternally grateful for the steadfast support from individuals like you who have made the Eccles Health Sciences Library a thriving hub of knowledge amid the health sciences campus of the University of Utah.

This year has marked the commencement of a significant seismic retrofit for our library, ensuring the safety and longevity of our institution as we continue to serve the academic and research needs of our community for years to come. In the face of this monumental task, your support has been a pillar of strength and encouragement, guiding us through this transformative period.

Looking ahead, we are excited about the possibility of a comprehensive renovation. This endeavor, made possible through your generous contributions and support, would further enhance our ability to provide the latest technology, resources, and learning spaces for our students.
