As of July 1, 2025, Shawn Steidinger, MLS, AHIP is the new Associate Director for Clinical, Research, and Education. This is a 3-year rotating leadership role at the Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library. Steidinger will provide leadership and vision for the clinical, educational, and research-oriented efforts of the library. She will also play an active role in library outreach and engagement across the health sciences campus.
Shawn has been selected to participate in the 2026 Emerging Leaders Academy, which will take place at the Natural History Museum in February.
Shawn has been with EHSL since November of 2018. Join us in congratulating her on her new position and achievements!
Executive Director of the Eccles Health Sciences Library, Catherine Soehner, MLS, BSN, AHIP, has received a Presidential Citation award from Core, a division of the American Library Association for her exceptional leadership as Chair of the Core Fundraising Committee. Catherine has been a member of the Committee for 2 years and has been Chair for one year. Under her guidance, the Committee raised over $140,000.
