This spring the Office of Health Equity and Inclusion (OHEI) and Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library (EHSL) are co-sponsoring the reading of: Waking Up White, by Debby Irving. Starting on January 29th the community is invited to gather at NOON in the History of Medicine Room, enjoy a light lunch, and have a lively discussion of the book.
What is this thing we call race? Where did the idea come from? “Race: The Power of an Illusion” compels viewers to examine some of their most fundamental beliefs about concepts of race. Our film screening series will be in three parts in February 2019. After each screening there will be a discussion. Light refreshments will be provided.
