The Traditional Grand Extravaganza: An absolute
must and really part of the Workshop.
SATURDAY,
JULY 1, 2000. Experience the Wasatch Mountains you have
been seeing all week!!
Save on airfare and
stay over Saturday night. Explore the
beautiful Wasatch Mountains. Lunch will be provided on the bus. We will return
late to the hotel so avoid early Sunday morning flights. Cost: $65/person.
Guests Welcome. Sign up when you register for the meeting so you will not be
disappointed. This event is not included with workshop registration. Sign up
early to help us plan. The event will
depend on site availability which can only be booked 60 days in advance. We will either go to Little Cottonwood
Canyon or Provo Canyon. In the former
we will hike, mountain bike, ride the tram and/or just sit in the sun before a
sumptuous buffet dinner. In Provo
Canyon we will explore Timpanogos Caves National Monument with a Ranger (1 mile
uphill walk) or for the less hearty, Cascade Springs. Both groups will end up at Sundance Resort for a buffet dinner
followed by Fiddler on the Roof in an outdoor theater. Both events are casual and require a warm
jacket and long pants at night and shorts in the daytime. Watch the Web site for more information. Post Conference 5-Day Rafting/Camping Trip Yampa
River in Dinosaur National Monument, July 3-7, 2000. You should not plan
to depart SLC until the 8th unless you have a midnight red-eye on the 7th or
are driving. The price for the trip is $592/person. Deposit of $250 needed. Balance 60 days before the trip. Do not delay in booking. National Park limits the size to 25. There
are 17 spots left. See the Web site for
more info http://www.oars.com. You must
make your own arrangements. Please
notify Suzanne Stensaas if you sign up.
Contact person with OARS (the outfitter) is Kelley,

the Slice of Life Group. More details
about this trip are on the Web site.
Those who did Westwater Canyon in 1994 can tell you about the fun we
had.
