Digital Collections – Archival Services
The Digital Publishing Group can assist in collecting, digitizing, researching, curating, and publishing materials both digital and analog. Materials can be organized and displayed on the library’s digital publishing platforms.

Publications – Digital Publications
The Digital Publishing Group can build unique publications utilizing an online publication platform developed by the Eccles Library Web Tech Team.

- Journal of the Academy of Health Sciences Educators at the University of Utah
Open Educational Platforms
The Digital Publishing Group can create complete learning environments and repositories for educational materials. This includes any learning objects with specific educational goals, curricula, and peer-review processes. The materials can be published on a dedicated digital platform, or curated amongst multiple content management systems. Your organization or group’s gray literature and archival materials can also be included for a complete institutional repository.

Visually representing our collections and materials with narrative and context is possible through our Digital Exhibitions. Our exhibitions cover a variety of topics including prominent individuals, events, department history, and specific topics of interest.

The Digital Publishing Group is equipped to digitize a wide array of materials including: photographs, negatives, slides, VHS tapes, audio CDs, audio cassette tapes, and print documents. Digitization for University of Utah community members is typically provided free of charge for University related materials. Commercial and non-University affiliated materials are subject to our Digitization and Use Fees.
Additional Library Creation Services
Tree of Hippocrates Education Studio – THE Studio has technology that enables students, staff and faculty to produce podcasts, lecture capture, live streaming, and mobile recording.
VR Hub – Virtual Reality equipment is available for experimentation, play or production. A specialist in the lab can assist you setting up the equipment and playing some of the unique apps and games specific to the health sciences.
Video Services – The library maintains a digital video-audio studio with equipment for capturing, editing, managing, and distributing a video library that will provide both live and stored video content. The main purpose of this facility is to provide opportunities for faculty to create educational opportunities in digital video format.
About Digital Publishing
The Eccles Library Digital Publishing service supports the activities of the University’s faculty, researchers, students, and library staff by publishing, organizing, displaying, preserving, securing, and providing access to digital resources. The Digital Publishing site provides access to information, including scholarly output, curriculum support materials, digital collections, historical records, and other digital objects that provide enduring value for scholarly endeavors.
